4 Great reasons to buy from us:
This tree has incredibly beautiful with small bipinnate leaves and tiny flowers. This is a huge benefit when creating a bonsai as you already start with small leaves and flowers. The flowers will start from late spring through summer and will fruit through December to May.
This makes an excellent bonsai as the branches can be easily trained into the desired shapes. The name Acacia (which has been changed to Senegalia for this Burkei species ) is derived from the Greek word 'Akis' or "Akakia" meaning a point or a spike, referring to the thorns. Birds, insects and monkeys enjoy these trees for their fruits, flowers and seeds.
This tree can grow anywhere from 12m to 25 metres tall in the wild. This tree has sharp, hooked curved thorns. The thorns can grow anywhere from 3 - 9mm long. Beware when working on your bonsai tree as these are incredibly sharp and beautiful. A leaf is 25–70 mm long, and a leaflet is 12–25 mm long.
The Acacia Burkei bonsai will be a slow grower but buds easily after being pruned back. The tree enjoys a decent well drained soil and can withstand cold temperatures but does not enjoy harsh cold winds.
Family: Fabaceae
